"Perspective Through an Optimistic Lens (and true story about a heart transplant"
by Genevieve Ruth
Fine Art Prints by Genevieve Ruth. Most of these pictures were taken shortly after my husband had recovered from receiving a heart transplant. It was our first trip back to the local San Juan Islands and I kept seeing heart shapes everywhere I looked - the clouds, tree branches, rocks – even, well, bird droppings. Every time they crossed my path, however, I either took a picture or simply paused to say, “Thank you.” Click on the images above to browse the entire gallery!
Apparel and Gift Collection by Nate Gunderson. We've often wondered if when Nate painted these beautiful heart-shaped pieces over 15 years ago, he had an idea that the very images he was creating could be in the likeness of the angel donor's gift he would later hope to receive. Check out the full line by clicking on the images above!
10% of proceeds support nonprofit organ donation agencies. At this time, we are directing them toward a desensitization study through Providence that has the potential to be of universal benefit to all transplant patients and/or those suffering from autoimmune disease. To learn more, visit the Support page for more info (and ways to help).
Since our co-founder is a heart-transplant recipient, we think the greatest gift is through organ donation! At Catchlight, we give 10% of our proceeds to programs dedicated to organ donation and transplant-related research. Please enjoy some gifts from our shop - all of which are created by local artisans and mostly one-of-a-kind!
We're always looking to add more products and services that aid the Catchlight cause, and always with the purpose of creating awareness and supporting valuable transplant-related research. If you would like to join the movement, please visit our Support Page to learn how!
